This picture was painted in a village near Elbrus, when I was left at home alone on a dark evening. ..It is cold, the lanterns do not even shine outside the window, only the barking of dogs is heard from afar, and people disappeared from consciousness, and the angels appeared alive - racing, walking and eternally jubilant, scurrying in front of Saturn. Like me then, here he is a little angry, but not with angels, not with people, but with this impenetrable darkness itself.
